openSUSE small server third edition amended in 20200302
Why
I need a particular setup, so I had to revive an unused machine...
What
it's about a "Serveur KS-2E - AtomN2800 - 4GB - 1x2To SATA", that is a server from kimsufi.com, with a small processor, but lot of disk space.
The initial setup was called "Leap", and in fact was from openSUSE Leap 42.3. I immediately upgraded this to the Leap 15.0 version, current in 2019. I now boot on the openSUSE kernel.
Was upgraded to leap 15.1 in 2020 march 2 without any problem.
How
I choose my own disk partition config:
Périphérique Amorçage Début Fin Secteurs Taille Id Type /dev/sda1 * 4096 204802047 204797952 97,7G 83 Linux /dev/sda2 204802048 3902828543 3698026496 1,7T 83 Linux /dev/sda3 3902828544 3907020799 4192256 2G 82 partition d'échange Linux / Solaris
sda1 is for the hole system (home included), sda2 is for /data, free for any use, sda3 is swap.
